Meet Mrs. Schieffer

I’ve been a music teacher for 31 years, and I’ve been at St. Augustin for 22  years. I grew up in Pierre, South Dakota, and attended the University of South Dakota.

What I enjoy most about teaching: I love the students’ energy and excitement when learning in the classroom. They keep me young and on my toes.

About my family: I’ve been married for 32 years, and I have two daughters:  Hilary is 28 and is 9th Grade Biology teacher in a suburb of Dallas, Texas.   Lauryn is 24 and is working for the Iowa Barnstormers as their office manager.  

What I enjoy doing outside of school: I like taking walks with my husband.
